I don’t even really like crossovers, but I need an Akagi/God of Gamblers one like burning. Suave ossan in suits with god-like gambling abilities give me too many emotions. Since the film takes place in 1989, it’s even timeline consistent with Ten. My god. I just. The film’s got evil yakuza and life-or-death-type gambles too and crazy ploys by the main character. ಢuಢ

After reading Akagi and Ten, I just can’t help but wonder if the protagonists (Akagi especially) ever get irritated by the other characters commenting loudly on the game and more importantly, their potential game plan right within earshot of their opponents, and making a variety of distressed expressions behind them. Ten wouldn’t mind because he’s such a nice guy, while Hiroyuki’s too mindful of his own game to care, but you’d think Akagi would be like, “Guys, seriously, I’ve got this. And now if you guys could stop discussing parts of my plan aloud, maybe this game could go faster.”

Art’s great nudes have gone skinny
Italian artist Anna Utopia Giordano has created a visual re-imagination of historic nude paintings, had the subjects conformed their bodies to what the 21st century considers an ideal of beauty. The results are revealing—and quite shocking in what they say about the modern attitude toward women’s bodies.

I don’t doubt that Sugita himself is an awesome person, and just as likely to do this, but this cover of Nico Nico Douga Ryuuseigun was sung by a fairly famous and uncannily accurate Sugita impersonator from Nico Nico Douga, known as aho no sakata.
